Smart Step Families: 7 Steps to a Healthy Family, by Ron Deal. There are few good biblical books written on this subject, and this is one of them. Ron Deal has authored several books in the “Smart Step Family” series.
“Shepherding a Child’s Heart” by Tedd Tripp. This is simply put the best parenting book I have ever read. The earlier in the parenting process you read the better, but it’s never too late.
“Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family”, by Paul David Tripp. Written by Tedd Tripp’s brother this book is a great companion to “Shepherding a Child’s Heart.” It’s more of a big picture philosophy of parenting to help keep us oriented in the right direction. You will be convicted and encouraged by this book.
