Temporary Changes Due to Social Distancing

Much of what we love about our children’s ministry is sadly impossible right now, things like: the gatherings, hugs, and high-fives. Our weekly schedule has dramatically changed. At this time our only regular children’s programming will be Kids’ Worship and nursery during morning worship at 10:30am. There is no children’s Sunday School or Wednesday Nights.

While we are unable to meet together for Kid’s Sunday School, we offer a weekly Family Sunday School Guide here.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “and these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. (7) You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

The Goal of our family ministry is: Edifying the Church and Glorifying God by Encouraging, Equipping, and Enabling Family Discipleship. We want to partner with parents in making disciples of their children and we will provide parents with training, support and resources to accomplish this goal. Visit our Family Resource page for more helpful tools on parenting and discipleship, marriage enrichment, and personal devotion.

VBS 2019, “In the Wild!”

Our Children’s Ministry is ever growing and adapting to meet the needs of our children and to make First Baptist an inviting and exciting place for children and their families. We put our best folks in children’s and preschool ministry here at FBCG. You can see in our pictures below just some of the recent renovations we’ve made to our children’s wing, turning it into the World Village. In the World Village our theme is taking the gospel to the nations. Our “village” represents different parts of our world, from the Far East to the Middle East, from Africa to Europe and beyond.

We also take safety and security very seriously. You will find the World Village filled with loving, caring, background checked volunteers. Children will check-in at the Welcome desk and parents will need the matching security sticker to retrieve their children after the service.

In order to minister to children and their families we provide many opportunities for fun, fellowship and spiritual development, and at the bottom of the page is a list of a few events and programs that help us do that. Please, feel free to contact Lydia, our Children’s Minister, with any questions you may have.
