Barry has served as custodian (or, as Pastor Mat likes to call him, the “Minister of Facilities”) at FBC since June 2018. As a retired Seabee in the US Navy, Barry is well equipped to keep the FBC facilities in excellent shape. He also is retired from Calhoun County. Barry and his wife, Sherre live in Jacksonville where they enjoy relaxing at home, watching Alabama football, and the Atlanta Braves. They have two children and are excited to welcome their new grandchild in July of 2021.
Barry says, “While I am a lifetime member of Paden Baptist Church, the people of First Baptist have become a second church family for me. I enjoy the privilege and challenge of helping to maintain and steward the historic facilties that the Lord has given to FBC.”
